Statutes for Central Asian Arts Association

Name and Domicile

 

Central Asian Arts Association is seated in London, United Kingdom

 

 

 

Purpose

 

The purpose of the Association is to provide the opportunity for artists from Central Asian countries (i.e. Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan) to present their works outside of their homeland.

 

 

Organisational Body

 

The executive body of the Association consists of:     

               

 The General Assembly (GA)

 The Board

 The Project-Committee

 

 

 

General Assembly

1. The GA is the highest body of the 

    Association and will be called to order at

    least two weeks to previous to the meeting.

 

2. The meeting will be chaired by one of the

     two directors

 

3. An orderly GA will take place at least once a

    year

 

 

 

 

Powers of the General Assembly

 

1. Appointment of the directors and board

    members

 

2. Approval of the annual budget

 

3. Revision of the statutes

 

4. Dissolution of the association

 

 

 

The Board

 

The board consists of:        

 

       A Director

       A Second Director

       A Secretary/administrator

                                                                       

 

The chair will be led by one of the two directors

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities of the
Board

 

The board organises and supervises the smooth operation of the association’s activities and its business matters.

 

 

1. The board carries sole responsibility for all
    the activities undertaken in the name of the
    association.
2. Legally binding signatures are the 
    responsibility of the directors.
3.  All withdraws made from the association’s
     funds are the sole responsibility of the 
     administrator.

 

Liability

1.  The association is liable for the assets of

     the association.

2.  No member of Central Asian Arts

     Association can be held liable for acts of

     the association.

 

 

Means

 

1. The association obtains its means from donors, members and sponsors as well as   through organizing and carrying out cultural events, such as exhibitions.

 

2. Participating artists contribute thirty percent of the sale of their work to the association

 

3. The income resulting from the sale of artists’ works is deposited in the associations’ account to further support the association’s administration and activities.

 

 

Dissolution of the association

 

The board will prevail over the assets of the association in the case of dissolution of the organisation.  Any outstanding assets at the time of dissolution will be donated to a charitable organisation of the board’s choice.
